wow these go by super fast. I happened to find a retailer that supposedly has a supplier that can still source new ones if you're interested.

http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/mer...de=51710305114 retailing for $450

I have one on order, and they verified they can get it for me.

I ordered one and got this reply-

Thank you for your recent order, The Z4 Strut Tower Brace is available
but currently not in stock, We can however special order the item
directly from our Vendor, at no additional cost to you. Delivery will
be approx. 2-3 weeks. We just ordered this item for another customer.
I have also attached an image of the item.

Sounds like they aren't sourcing BMW ones but instead having someone make new ones? Not sure I still want it as I was thinking it was the BMW one (maybe still is) but can't tell for sure.

On the item description it says made via CAD. It sounds to me that it's a reproduction.

I'm probably going to go ahead and purchase it.

On the order page it said it would take 2-3 weeks, I placed my order and then they came back and said it would be 2-3 weeks and asked me if I still wanted to purchase it. Seems like they are going out of their way to make sure I still want it.

I asked if it was the real one and got this back. "Thanks for your follow up, this item is the Genuine BMW Z4 Brace. Just to confirm, you would like to cancel your order?"

They represent it as the OEM part number so who knows.

@David70 I received the exact same reply from them word for word! They will require you to send Anthony Pharm( Warehouse manager) a $150 deposit via Venmo. I did it, & immediately regret so cancelled order ...they assured me a refund but still waiting. Seems a little fishy to me...after researching other forums and bekkers.com an unsecure website I decided on cancellation due to issues and wait time apparently to receive items. Anyhow, good luck and lest us know what outcome if you order.

They also ended up doing the same with me and asking for a deposit. I told them I wasn't interested. Worst case for them without the deposit is they are stuck with a bar, should be for far less than the selling price and they could easily get what they paid for it. Worst case for me is they don't send me the bar and I am left with nothing. This is why I prefer credit cards for online transactions.

The OEM part number is 51710305114 and quoted by Bekker. The part has been NLA for quite some time with dealerships and vendors having no supply. Short of finding a dusty box a new one is not appearing unless it is a replica

Yes I am the other customer they ordered it for. They said it was original when I clarified with them. I suppose the only way we can find out is to see the box when it comes in. They said it is coming from Germany, so I was assuming it's from the OEM.

supposedly you still have protection when using venmo if fraud was involved. i also sent money to Anthony, I figured I saw his history is getting several orders so I assume it would had been canceled if there was something going on.

Personally do not have a problem if the item is being "reimagined" its not a complicated bit of kit, and easy to make, CAD would be a help too, one would think. The asking prices of late, like the aeroskirts have priced themselves out of contention certainly in our workshop. The Wiechers strut bars must be the best value in a long line of imitations.
Although in saying that we recently bought aeroskirts at $450 including delivery to New Zealand. So win win for a change.

Doesn't seem like Venmo offers much https://venmo.com/about/security/

Keep yourself safe
Venmo is designed for payments between friends and people who trust each other. Avoid payments to people you don't know, especially if it involves a sale for goods and services (like event tickets and Craigslist items). These payments are potentially high risk, and you could lose your money without getting what you paid for. Venmo does not offer buyer or seller protection.

E46 M3 brace fits real well to Z4M. It is black, and actually blends much better under the hood. And you can find a used ones on eBay for $250 shipped. I just installed one on my car and it looks great. Just something to think about.

Thanks for the information.

Can you post a picture of it installed? What's the difference with it? Not following why BMW made a special on for the Z4M is the same bar works fine on both cars.
