I checked into fitting a 1 series convertible shark fin onto my 06 roadster. The dealer quoted me about $200.00 for the parts but wouldn't guarantee that the connector would plug into my sirius unit. I hate the little black antenna on the trunk and would like to replace it with the fin. If anyone has any experience with this, I'd love to hear their advice.

Am I the only one that will think it will look crap as it will only be on the left hand side and there will be no symetry

nope i think it would look crap as well. It should be centered or it will look weird.

The best install would be to shave the original antenna and put the fin centered on the trunk (boot)

with respect to symetry, the standard aerial is not symetrical, your thoughts are apprecaited though, shall have to think about that
