Seems like this NJ forum is dead...

Are there any NJ Z4 owners out there?

I'd love to go to a local meet for NJ peeps

Every BMW meet I go to I'm the only Z and people just don't "get it"
If its not a M3 or a 335i its not interesting

Lets arrange something, even if two cars show up and I'm one of them it will be a Z4 attendance record for me

I'm in North NJ Park Ridge, Plenty of nice safe places up here for meets

PCA Autox at the Meadowlands this sunday! I will be there with my bro and possibly two other M3's. If you guys came out to a Z4M's natural habitat you would see more. Usually there is always at least one or two other Z4M's at track days

i was looking at this event, its with the evolution driving school right? seems like you get 20+ runs but with instructor guidance but price was really high... $275 or something. for that much, i figuered i should hold out for hpde. i might join the cca at TD this sunday tho...

No this is nothing like that evo school... that thing is WAYYYYYYYY over priced! Hell I can do a two day track school at NJMP with the PCA for $275. So lets see I can do maybe 30 laps of a autox course for $275 or 80+ laps of a world class road course for $300??? I don't get how they are actually going to get people to pay that kinda cash! You can get an instructor for every lap at a PCA autox if you want. I have done autox's with the CCA in the past at TD and the lot is tiny! Also I am not a fan at all of the guys at the NJ BMW CCA (alot of people I talk to have the same feeling). They treat these autox's like they are going for the win at the 24hrs of Le Mans or something. My brother and I sharded pit space with Tom, the chair of the NJ PCA autox, during a two day track day at NJMP. Tom is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Always willng to help and make the event fun. I haven't done been doing autox's at all lately but when I do I will only do them with the NNJR SCCA or NNJR PCA.

agreed, meadowlands is the best spot around. i just registered although it seems like they don't take payments online so i'll pay in person. does this thing really run 8am-5pm? seems awfully long... assuming we all get 7-8 runs, we'd wrap things up by 2 or 3pm?

yeah runs start around 9ish and we are usually out of there around 330ish.

This means 3 Z4 Coupes in one place! I know when I did a PCA one years ago at the meadowlands 4 M Coupes showed up! Lets make this a meet and get some more of the guys to show up... beats standing around in a parking lot doing the circle jerk with a cup of coffee in our hands

The Porsche club is hosting auto-x at Meadowlands this Sun. Non P-car owners can participate but make sure you get there a bit early to register. Most auto-x allow verts - I've seen plenty of S2Ks at these events and I'm sure Boxster owners will be plenty. Cost for us non-members is $45.

They'll lend you helmets. Come out, those 4.10 gear would really shine at this type of driving!

btw, you'll most likely have to empty your car out so if you park next to us, you should be fine. else just leave everything at home (floor mats, any tools in trunk, basically anything that can move around).
