I have a pair from a group buy a long time ago and wasn't sure about putting them on. You didn't like them, going a different direction? Better than stock? I thought they might make a big improvement.

They are fine but when new they do vibrate the car at idle. After about 5 to 6k miles that vibration is gone. I used to see it on the lights cut off when parking close to a wall, that has gone as well. The mounts were new when I bought the car from the PO so I never got to experience the OE ones, but for sure they are a bit rough, the PO also pointed that out. But now they have softened and are just normal to me, at the beginning they did annoy me a tad.

^^ is tough to give that at advice, we all have different tolerance thresholds to NVH.
My car is modified quite a bit and I can tell you I would not like to dd, not because I wouldn’t want to, but is too hard and harsh that it would wear me out. In your case I would stick to new OE items Remember, many of us never drove our cars new and we go with what internet say about OE not being best, however most opinions are either from those that never drove these cars when new and had worn parts or those who heavily track their cars. Now the good about these items is that they have been broken in, and will be more durable than the OE items. If you don't have other mods and just put the motor mounts you would only notice them at idle. Last edited by maupineda; 12-17-2021 at 07:09 AM.. |

Are they street or track version?
I have V-T street mounts in my Z4MC. I don't think they make the car useless as a daily driver, far from it. I put them in to improve the shifting, and they do. |
