hey dub, why spend all that money on brakes when the car isn't tracked? if you're just going for looks you could probably pick up a nice looking bbk for half that price.

They had the cheapest price on brake pads for my stoptech's, and I paid on-line, and waited, and waited. Then they sent me an email 2 weeks later saying that my order was cancelled. So, I called them to find out why. They said, we never had them in stock and can't get them. They are still on their website.

Just make sure they really have them and will really sell them at that price.

That's all I have on them.

I just emailed them to see if they were readily available for shipping. Thanks for the advice.

I don't track it, but I like the feel of the stoptechs. I had them on my last car and loved them. They retain the handbrake and are oem quality.

Don't waste your money bro, add some SS lines, better pads and you'll get a similar feel, the stock brakes for me offered great feel, and fantastic road performance. As you do no track work its really a waste. Then again each to their own I guess.

I don't track, but I like having that kind of braking power. Driving my dads r8 on the road makes me jelous everytime I get back in my car. I tries lines and pads before, but nothing compares to the feel of a bbk in my opinion. Not to mention they really look gorgeous compared to the cast calipers on our cars

you don't need it for the street,
.....but I agree, there is an entirely different feel to a BBK with solid caliper.
& the look? ....well nothing needs to be said

That price is pretty good. I think I was closer to $4.8 when I did mine.

I would probably guess that 90-95% of the customers who buy aftermarket big brake kits never turn a single lap on a track with them.

So if y'all think about it, companies like Brembo or StopTECH or AP Racing or any of the quality brake vendors will go out of business if no one buys their products if they didn't need them.

As far as I'm concerned, "they look cool" is a 100% legitimate reason to buy big brake kits.

yes. for the slotted set.

i had a 13inch 4 piston front kit only on my last car and the comfort and reassurance the brake pedal gave me was very rewarding, even in city driving.

I agree its a waste of money but i love the look of BBK's. Tempting at that price and my pads and rotors are getting low! Lol

I am sure if you get it, they will look beautiful on your car. You have a real beauty on your hands.

I think ourbreaks are good but the pad is a little weak on the track.

BBK Will be one of my next upgrade too. Even if I am able to stop the car at the track, the feeling is way better with BBK. Pads are also bigger and thicker.

If you can afford it do it. Looks wise it will complete your car and stamina and brake feel will only improve.

Also if you're OK with importing stuff from abroad and don't mind shopping around a bit longer, AP Racing kits come up frequently for sale on http://cslregister.com

is this only for stoptech? ive read that bbk's in the rear eliminate the handbrake, wasnt sure if it affected the z4m or if other brands didnt have this option
