Hello!
As I wax the OEM/aftermarket rims twice a year, just a gentler cleaning is needed. To this I use Auto Finesse Citrus Power and the good thing about this is that its for insect splatters to. For more stubborn dirt it has to be Meguiars Hot Rims. It’s also very important to work the surface and product in an appropriate manner. For this I use the Wheel Woolies brush-kit and detailer brush. With these you can reach all the way in and makes the cleaning a real joy! I also dry the rims with a waffle weave. Just used some Meguiar's Non Acid Wheel Cleaner recently and it did a great job at cleaning my wheels. Not too harsh, but really cuts into the grime. Like poster said above, a good set of tools and woolies is a must. This cleaner get's my vote and it's cheap at $20/gallon. Even at that I'm diluting 50/50 so it goes a long way.

I've been using Flash Brown Royal for years. Non-acidic, cost efficient (diluted) and works very well but you still need to use a brush. That, plus some wax on the wheels every once in a while works well.

P21s, Ph balanced, will not hurt finish, I have tried many different brands and this is the only cleaner that keeps my white rims on my T/A white.
