Best Lap: 2:14.5

I suppose this is more of an unofficial because there was entirely too much traffic within the run group. Predictive had me into the 2:14's multiple times but I could not finish a lap without getting stuck behind <2 cars. Confident that 2:13 is in the deck if I had an open road. Time to move over to Time Trials with NASA in 2019...

Time trial is so much fun despite less “track time”

Thanks, that is really good feedback. At this point, I would rather have more quality laps than greater sessions. Although it seems to be competitive within TT3 (at least in the NASA NE region) some heavy car development is needed, right?

Id have to read the rules over again but assuming your car fits in TT3 trim as is, I’d take a look at this year’s lap times to see how you compare. Hoosiers are a must though so be prepared to buy (and hopefully win) new tires every few weekends...

TTing is most folks get their best times in first few laps which is totally different from DE (waiting for trains to clear up or people pit out), so you really need to train yourself going balls to wall right as soon as your tires warm up!

Lap times updated as of Sept 29th. Here's me messing around at Monticello the other week in my stock M roadster on 3 year old PSS lol. I was easily 3 seconds slower than the last time I was there in my coupe, tires and safety gear make a huge difference... not to mention been away from track so long I found myself cruising at a lot of points... I'd have to tell myself "wtf get on the gas man!"

Sorry for bad angle, forgot to check where the camera was pointing...

Gaining more confidence, sliding in turns. About 40 heat cycles on these R888Rs, still grippy but slightly more slide.

My old coupe was at this event... wonder if u saw it/driver

Btw 146mph on the front straight is insane lol. My top speed was 124 when I did a 1:36 there few years back

I did see the coupe there! Didn't get a chance to talk to owner, he was running in Black group. I used to hit 160 often but it scares the daylights out of me. You'll see I lift early around 140-150 and just coast a bit. Doesn't gain my any laptime so why risk it

Yea I think he was running a low 1:33 but kept hitting traffic.

Weekend at Dominion. Running stock staggered setup with 235 Front and 265 Rear using RE71. Pushed a little harder to see what time I really put down.

Harry’s lap timer, which is available for both iPhone and Android. You can opt to use the phones camera or external such as GoPro, or even both if you want PiP. Here’s good example where I have a GoPro mounted behind me and the iPhone pointed at me:

Time: 1:32:986 (with some traffic)

My R888R were at 50+ heat cycles, decided to run with my "rain tires" which were used only a few times this year. I have new found love for these Direzzas Last turn onto straight before Lap 9 had traffic. If I could have had my pace there, I think there was a 1:31 in it. We'll see next year!
