Steering wheel buttons
Has anyone found a viable solution for replacing the steering wheel buttons? It seem that the trim is available, and the used buttons found on eBay are all worn out like mine.
The only other option I found is to buy the entire steering wheel for about $500. |

Is it the buttons worn or the casing for the buttons? I actually just buffed off all of the soft touch coating on my steering wheel and now everything is gloss black plastic. It looks brand new and was just labour in removing it. Just rubbed it for a long time with a micro fibre cloth until it all came off. An hour of my time. But cheaper than replacing. Pictures are of before and after buffing it off.

If it is just an issue of deteriorating coating, I did like ShawnPaul did and just rubbed off the old coating to uncover the glossy black plastic underneath. I just left it at that. Why one of my button groups had base white plastic, I don't know.

I was able to remove one of the two buttons but not the smaller one of the two. It looks like It’s glued or screwed. And to clarify, I do mean the casing, not the buttons themselves. Thanks
