Finally got around to installing everything that was piled up in my living room:
  • Tekcarbon Carbon Fiber Mirrors
  • Tekcarbon Rear Lip Spoiler
  • Schmiedmann Carbon Fiber Front Lip
  • Megan Racing Headers
  • AA Tune (decided to do this last minute while getting the headers installed)
  • Pedal Haus Pedals with Heel Plate
  • Ultimate Cupholders x 2

Tekcarbon Mirrors/Spoiler:
  • The Tekcarbon products were incredible quality and fitment was great.
  • The Carbon Fiber Mirrors were a bit tricky to figure out how to install (figuring out how to remove the actual mirror portion on my OEM ones, took a while for the first side, but after that it was a breeze for the second).
  • The Rear Lip Spoiler I installed with 3m tape and had no fitment issues or gaps at all (big thanks to inTgr8r for the help and answering all my questions).

Schmiedmann Carbon Fiber Front Lip:
  • Quality on this product was not nearly as good as the Tekcarbon items above, nor was the fitment. To make this fit perfectly “flush” I would have had to trim a bit off the front fangs, which I was not willing to do. Instead I filled the small gap that existed on the center portion with a bead of black silicone all the way across – this solved the problem and I can barely tell anything now and it looks great!

Megan Racing Headers:
  • I did not install these myself, had my mechanic do it for me. He was very impressed with the quality and fitment – no issues whatsoever on his end. He also mimicked all the other comments on the M3 forum and on here that these seems to be almost the exact same design as the AA ones.

AA Tune:
  • My mechanic is an AA Dealer and I decided to do this tune last minute as it would help with the Check Engine light that would show up with the new headers. We had AA configure it for all my current mods. Haven’t driven the car enough to give any impressions yet, but will provide at a later point when I can get some good miles in.

Not really sure what to do next to the Z, contemplating supercharging but we’ll see 😊. May move back to modding my X5M a bit more first.

Excuse my terrible pictures, not the best photographer.

My alternator started going out last week, so I ordered a replacement through FCP Euro and just finished installing it. I got lucky and they had the OEM alternator on clearance for $250. Now it's back up to $630!

Always nice when you can find a deal like that! I just did my plugs and coils and man those suckers are pricey as well.

I have always been envious of the Porsche Boxster with the optional painted rollover bars which could be body color or a secondary color of choice.

I purchased the covers from a very good salvage company since one of the four covers is out of stock and I was told that it would soon be NLA (No Longer Available). So I am glad I got a second set.

I took them to the body shop and gave them my color code (Jet Black-668) and Wednesday is when they mix black colors. Picked them up today and I think they look rather good.

BMW CSL Wheels

I just installed BMW CSL wheels
F 19x8 ET47 - Michelin Pilot Sport 4s
R 19x9.5 ET27 - Michelin Pilot Sport 4s
No rubbing whatsoever, I love the look and ride!
No suspension changes at this time but considering the Bilstein- B12 lowering it F3/4 and R1/2

The stripes on the ///M badges on the side and back of my '06 M Roadster have become faded with the tops of the stripes almost completely bleached to white. I've done a lot of refreshes on different parts (windshield weatherstripping, cowl, painted the calipers) and I wanted the badges to look better. I don't remember if I found this company on ZPOST, but I ordered the ///M stripes from them for $14.50 + $1.75 shipping. They fit perfectly, look so much better, and are a lot cheaper and easier than ordering new badges. Highly recommended!

No pictures on my car, but it needs a wash and the weather's been pretty crappy here for the last week or so.

I'd be interested to hear how they hold up. My car's previous owner put replacement stickers on the badges right before I bought it 2.5 years ago and the side emblems are starting to peel.

If you look back on this thread almost exactly 1 year ago, I put on these same exact stickers...still looks brand new today.

I guess if they do peel I'll have to spring for new badges then.

I knew I had probably seen that on this forum! I think that I bookmarked that site then, can't believe that I waited almost a year to actually buy them, but it's been a weird year...

Ahhhh...now I remember replying to your thread a couple of years ago when I was also looking for replacement stickers => https://www.zpost.com/forums/showthr...donewhenimdead

They were out of stock for quite a while.

I'm off to my friendly neighborhood family owned tire store this morning to have my terrible Runflat tires (which were on the '08 Z4 3.0si when I bought it a few months ago) replaced with:
Continental Extremecontact DWS06 Plus tires:
225/45ZR18/SL 91Y on front and
255/40ZR18/XL 99Y on rear).
This will be the second car for which I ditch the RFs for RTs (Real Tires).
I'll let you know what differences in ride and handling I detect from this change.

Consider more robust engine mounts while you're at it. IMO they make more of a difference than the transmission mounts.
