Proper Hub Thread Length on Stud Kit?

I've always had good experience with VAC and was ready to purchase their stud kit but noticed their hub thread length is on the "shorter" side relative to BW & Turner. For an equivalent 75mm stud, VAC's hub length is 11mm whereas the other 2 are 13mm. Is that a safety issue I should be concerned with?

I believe 5-6 turns is the minimum safety requirement and wondering if I'd get that with the VAC studs.

I wouldn't think it would make any difference. If it comes out, its not because of 2mm. Is there a price difference?

I have the Turner 75mm and have been very happy with them. Though I do plan to replace them soon as I've been running them for a while and they're starting to show some surface wear. To be expected given the amount of times I'm yanking wheels off but just playing it safe (also recommended to replace studs every 2 years).

But these are probably the most robust stud you can get these days...

And forgot to say I've been considering these, too...

.. but while the unique head makes for easy installation, I have concerns about how easily/quickly nuts will engage or if the sharper edges (compared to bulletnose varieties) could damage the nut threads (and also be more a bit slower to get on straight).

You should be fine.

I run Vorshlag Studs, and it was alot of turns before it was tight and torqued.

Just remember to use loctite and the difference should be minimal

Compared to Turner's its slightly cheaper just because they I'm looking to buy the studs alone without lugs (already have an extra set of new lugs). I agree 2mm isn't alot but then again, when you're only working with 12-13mm to begin with, it seems like every mm counts in the context of safety.
