Yeah... nobody's going to guess #18. But I gotta say; knowing him, it really is the best thing he's done!

Intriguing

He's done some pretty sweet things so far, so to top them will really be something.

Yeah, I was very impressed with the color match too. This was more work than the decals, but it was worth it.

I think you are right, too abstract for anyone to guess. Funny thing is, this mod is already on the post in other areas

Yeah I just got my decals in yesterday. going to finish waxing her after work and put them on and update a few pics. they look close in color, but we'll see once they're on. they can be a little off for now, it's better than the reflector!!!

BTW, did you have to remove the bumper to paint those?

The decals work great, l just can't leave well enough alone. Looking forward to seeing those updated pics.

No need to remove the bumper, you can get to these from the wheel well, or from under the car.

awesome. i thought i read somewhere or someone told me that i'd have to remove the bumper. maybe that was for the fronts. IDK. but i'm sure eventually i'll get tired of the decals and do something similar. i'm picky as well.

The mod bug is hard to fight off

If you decide to paint them later on, I can give you some pointers on getting to them.

The fronts you can get through the HL access panel in the wheel well.
A little tight but not bad.
They are mounted with d.sided tape, not twistlock like the rears.
You push them from the outside to break the seal.
Just make sure you have a hand inside to catch them, because if they fall, you will be taking the wheel liner out.
(don't ask how I know this )

Is #18 a divorce so your wife isn't yelling about all the money you spend on the car and not her?

I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks a bunch! I'm sure there's details in the DIY section I'll get around to eventually, but I'm lazy...

Interesting that you had to remove the connecting pipes. I was able to do this without that, though it was tough, especially when you're doing it by yourself. I did raise both pipes into place at the same time, its a lot easier to get them into position that way but its really hard to get to the next step as you end up needing 3 hands.

I'd say the worst part about it were the O2s. I couldn't get them off the stock headers so I disconnected them from the wiring harness and took the headers to a shop which removed them for free. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the wiring back the way it was. So now everything's just bunched up inside the harness

On a side note for anyone that's curious, the AA headers come with all the bungs.

Get back to work. Only two more journal entries until #18 is finally unvailed. Your fans want to know
