Need Pic of a Folding Passenger Side Mirror

Does anyone have a 2002 to about 2008 Z4 with folding mirrors that would please send me a few pics, ie from front and back etc of their passenger side mirror?

I have fixed mirrors. I can buy a used "folding" mirror on-line but there is no picture of it.

I want to see if the folding and fixed mirrors look essentially the same.

Much appreciated!!

Mine is a 2006 3.0i roadster with Heated glass.
Side mirrors...I've never tried folding them.

How would I know if they fold?

My understanding is that all Z4 mirrors fold, M or non M, pre LCI and LCI. Mine is a ‘06 M Roadster with heated mirrors. I can fold mine manually, just push them from the front towards the rear of the car. Some Z4’s can be folded automatically with the push of a button

I have folding mine manually, not sure if any USA models were powered.

I have power moving mirrors, they look identical to the non powered ones.

After reading this thread, I went to the garage to see what I have.

There is no inside electric switch for automatic folding, so I grabbed an outside mirror with both hands. The mirror rotates around and upward, as you twist it toward the rear of the car. It requires more than a light touch to rotate it.

Driver and passenger side mirrors will rotate.

David

Not sure that all have folding mirrors. The power folding was an option that few took advantage of when they were new. Fairly rare to find. My M mirrors in my 2006 do not retract or move, they are stationary and I don't believe they are aftermarket. I'm the second owner of this car. My previous '07 3.0i had retractable mirrors, but not power.

Power folding mirrors weren't an option stateside. Neither were rear parking sensors. Both were available in Europe and possibly other markets.

Your mirrors should fold manually if they are original. Try yours again - they take a healthy shove to get them to move, and they rotate up rather than sideways towards the door.

I agree - I looked at several when I bought mine and never saw one that the mirrors did not rotate. I always tested both along with running the windows and tops up and down. Never saw a power one in person, but they all rotated.

As mentioned - it does require a little force though - they "pop" into place pretty solidly.
