Quite a few did the Magnaflow cans with custom tips as well. For the tone, I prefer it over stromung but it's a bit louder. Let me see if I can find the link.
If you can find any links please share! If there are any super common custom options maybe we can add that here, along with which muffler part numbers used.

Thanks! When I came across your exhaust threads it kind of blew my mind that actual measurements were taken with the meetup, pretty cool!
Thanks. Those help in terms of absolute sound pressure levels and comparison. The subjective measures help too since we have quite a few weighing in to level set a bit.

We dropped the ball in video on the last event. It was captured but none of us had either equipment or more importantly time to edit!

So I just had to buy a gopro to get some in car footage. I also bought the frame case just so I could try and get as much sound into the gopro as possible. This is a Gopro Hero 4 silver. See the video at this post!

My exhaust isn't listed in there: RDSport exhaust (Racing Dynamics Sport).

I may be the only Z4M on the face of this planet with that exhaust, that's pretty cool.......

This is how I bought the car. When I did a bit of research at the time, I read that this exhaust was about $2,200, mainly for sound rather than performance. I read that it was an aftermarket part by BMW..? And that it was also made by a company from Italy/Germany. Here's a sound clip, better appreciated with ear phones

Seems mine isnt on the list either, not suprising though as its custom race exhaust by Carma FF, they produce one off for f1 systems. This was the first mod I bought for my z4mc, and its been the best, most fun mod so far. Its a one off. There was an Italian guy on here actually who i bought it from who sold his MC.

The sound is incredible, and many tuning shops where my car has been say that its the best sounding system they have heard by none. There is drone if the car labours below 2k and a missed gear at 1.5k is unbearable. But.. above 2.5k, this system is the ducks nuts, and many, many comments from other enthusiasts at light s roll down their window and query the system. The system was designed for track racing, and the sound it makes when pushing through the gears is exctatic. It also bobs and gurgles on deceleration.

set.

Installed Magnaflow mufflers (11132) with eBay tips. eBay tips cost me $120 for staggered stainless steel slant tips. For mufflers I bought it from the shop that was installing them, quoted me $300 for mufflers and installation. $420 for a daily dose of orgasms seems like a good deal.
Only thing I will do different is take it to someone that knows how to weld... and I probably will one day.

Hey, could you please post pics and vid of your install? I'm really interested in going with a Magnaflow setup.

Yes sir. It's kind of embarrassing because the welding is complete crap but I'll do it for the people!

Updated OP to include the Bluewave system

Thanks for sharing your exhaust systems RossBMWZseries & Vanne ! Both these systems seem like one-offs which makes them nice & unique.

$420 in total sounds like a great price, regardless of welds. Pretty welds are nice but at the end of the day, I'm a believe that function>form when it comes to welds, though when they're pretty that's a nice bonus as well.

Wow, just saw this for the very first time (haven't been on the forums much at all in the past two years or so). Great work!

If you need video of exhaust sound for Supersprint Race (Sport predecessor), here's one of my car @ the dyno a couple years ago, after I got supercharger put on.

And this one is of a dyno later on, after I got it retuned. Same exhaust setup.

Here's a video I did a while back when it was just CSL headers and the DKF Section 1

Here's a pic when I first installed the Supersprint X-pipe and Powerloops. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a video of the sound with these badboys before the accident.

Here's the graph from Evolve showing the final tune with CSL headers, OE Section 1 (sorry Doug!), and SS X-pipe and Powerloops

I didn't get a chance to get pics or vids after the installation since it's been so cold and dreary here; was planning a nice Spring cruise n shoot.

The dyno graph is a little small, but was there a gain from just x-pipe + mufflers? I wouldn't imagine so, but have to check! Thanks for posting these here, by the way. The Supersprints look like quality cans.

Also, I might have missed something/this is a little off topic, but your car was in an accident? Hope everything is okay!

I have the SS unresonated x-pipe and the SS race muffler canisters, and felt zero discernible difference in power. In unopened/untouched NA form, the S54 with MSS70 ECU pretty much only gains power by changing out the 2-to-4 catalytic converters (depending which market your car was produced for), along with a tune. Every other bolt-on mod is trivial unfortunately. And anything more than that (altering engine internals) requires significant investment in terms of time/cost
