Air Bag light, please help!!!

Hi guys,

Hope someone can help me, some days ago appears the Air Bag light in the dash of my E85 2007 so I connected the scanner and showed me these error codes.

What could be the problem ?, thank you in advance!!

Google "Z4 Trifecta"…

Low voltage can cause issues so check battery "cold" voltage… voltage output when running…. For battery / voltage regulator/alternator issues.

You might need to replace battery or voltage regulator. If so clear codes afterwards and restart cat and see what codes come up now….

Seatbelt light/tensioner error code can be caused by SRS connection in trunk that goes to BTS on positive battery cable. If dirty it will give a high resistance reading which is over the 1.2-3.4 ohm range expected You should use a code reader/BMW software that can read proprietary BMW codes…. Most code readers can't and only older INPA and newest INSTA(D) BMW diagnostic software can truly delve into and diagnosis error codes.

You should read up on all the above before doing anything further.

If all else fails, I have found that a piece of electrician's tape makes the problem disappear.

You might also try a proper battery maintainer/restorer such as CTEK. Give that some time with the battery, clear the codes, see if they come back.

I have one, so you recommend me to do a full charge and then clear codes with the scanner ?

You can download the software and purchase a cable off of eBay/Amazon. Note that the cable you get should be able to switch between prefacelift and facelift cars… the OBEDII connection wiring is slightly different between the two… requires a connection in cable to be jumpered.
