The presidential series, or something like that. I saw on the cover that it was at least the first book of the series. I HATE when I pick up book 6 of 17 and have no clue what he hell I'm reading about characters.

If nothing else, there seems to be a prolific amount of WEB to read, so the summer could be good!

That's a damn good series. Start from one or you'll go insane. Well...more insane. Is that even possible?

MK - Just googled WEB. I need a new author in the mix. He sounds right up my alley. Which series do you recommend to start? The Presidential?

Thanks

I started with The Corps series, I would suggest that one or the Badge of Honor series to start.

I'm interested to hear what MK says, though...

My absolute favorite is, "The Brotherhood of War". It takes you from the near-end of WW2 to the end of the Vietnam conflict.

Hold on to your hat...it's so good I've read the entire series multiple times.

You almost can't start with a wrong series with WEB. There is even a little series crossover in certain parts. They are all so well written.

HCold, I've not read the Badge of Honor series...do you recommend?

I enjoyed it - centered around Philly PD - starts in the 80's, but skips forward in time (with no ageing of the characters) to the late 90's, early 00's due to the actual writing of the books. If you can deal with that, I don't have much to complain about.

The protagonist is a bit of a mix of both Ken McCoy and Pick Pickering from The Corps series - young, capable, handsome, family money....

Sounds good. It sounds like it fits his formula. I'll give it a look. Thanks!

Indeed, it does.

McCoy/Pickering; Matt Payne; Cletus Frade; there is a definite arithmetic that Griffin likes to use, no doubt.

I just can't get finished with 2312 so that I can start By Order of the President.

And this is the second time around, but I can't recall the end of 2312 to know if I'm going to be let down or not. In the area of 20-30 pages to go, but I keep passing out while sitting in the sun. . .

Reading Walter R Borneman's "The Admirals - Nimitz, Halsey, Leahy and King" right now. He is a history writer living in Denver, and he makes history interesting (some don't).
I’m half way through “The Border”. Good read. It was a slow start for me. Not sure if it was the book or too long since I read the last one but I can’t put it down today.

I just finished a Case Lee no. 3 by Vince Milam that I enjoyed. I think it was one of my older book bub free or cheap purchases from awhile back and it was surprisingly entertaining...

I thought about brings WEB Griffin with me to my son's 3 baseball games this weekend, but didn't want to be a poor father reading in the stands instead of paying attention to the game.

Geez, that was a BAD misjudgment of the situation. This is college ball, although their first season for CSUCI. During the second game, the scorekeeper was kind enough to just keep track of balls/strikes/outs. It was around 21-3 when he did that, and we completed another 3 innings. . . .
