Thats why more people need to join. If everyone is just waiting for more people to join the GB before they do, the discount wont happen. Its not just E85/6 members they are doing this GB for, all the convertibles are in on this so we need to get more people in so we get a bigger discount.

This is what I've seen from this thread and looking at the others Kevin put up around BimmerPost. None of the other platforms seem to be interested except for the E89, or maybe they just arent seeing the group buy threads since they get flooded with stuff from other vendors.

I also PM'd Kevin about the group buy asking what the time frame is, this is what he said

Weekly bump. It isn't looking like anyone else is into this so I'm thinking of pulling out and ordering one on my own in about a week and a half. I'm only home for a 2 week window and want to get this installed while I'm home.

I'm guessing you mean ebay? At that price, plus shipping, its better than EAS's standard price. If EAS gives us at least the 10% discount, plus their shipping price it will be slightly better than ebay's price.

I kinda think this is really what it's all about: advertising to get sales at full price, not really trying to organize a Group Buy. Too bad, I'd really be interested if the price came down a bit...

i got this installed on my e85 since last year when it first came out. I loved it. it's great having it in the city because all the traffic light, i can now drive and open/close my top at the same time

Did you do the install yourself or have someone else do it? Good to see someone with it is happy with the product. Gets rid of doubts that it may not work well

I installed the SmartTop unit in my MZ4. It was not too difficult. The space is a little tight and you need to swap a few pins in the connectors and tap two wires. Installation is beyond a complete novice, but anyone that's installed a radio before should be able to do it.

I'm dropping from the group buy. There isn't enough interest and I don't see this going anywhere. That and I wanted to have this to install next weekend when I go home and get to play with my car for the 2 weeks that I will be home for the next year.
