Strange that they would choose a three year old discontinued model for a big budget movie. Couldn't BMW come up with a new Z4 for them?

Wasn't this just a promo event for the movie? I think they were giving members of the media rides in a Z4 roadster they had there.

Yea, this is for some promo event for the premier of the movie in Europe. I saw it on ET while I flipping channels. They had the Z4M coupe and two Z4 roadsters. They all had the e46 M3 wheels on the rear.

Actually I wear a jacket and helmet at all times. He wasn't riding on sticky asphalt, but a very uneven looking cobblestone type surface which could easily end up in a crash. One spill(low speed or not) could seriously change Cruises life....

I think that was an add-on for another purpose such as radio communication. The stock antenna appears to be in place too. The handbrake lever extension was pretty funny too.
