Factory mufflers mod

Homemade mod with factory exhaust by "dalecan" method, with bigger from Subaru WRX tips Very happy with this modification, she sounds absolutely normal until you ask for.

All credits goes to Mr. Dalecan - https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic...89874c50008cb5

Love it. Considering this as well. Any thoughts on how it sounds driving?

Sounds more "metallic" and high pitched than low and throaty. Any drone?

Nice! i've been wanting to try this, but I don't know anyone comfortable with doing this level of metalwork. Who did your mod?

I did pretty much by myself at my friend machining shop so all tools are free in my case

Carbide Cutting Disc to open housing, jig saw with carbide blades to cut Internal pipes, and mig argon welding to assemble together thanks to my friend and his skeels on welding, very simple process.

I have tried both method Dalecan and Exdos (page 2 of the link in initial post), personal preference make me to stick with Dalecan idea.

Awesome job. I've been contemplating a change to mine as well and am not 100% sure if I want to go the RPI route. Did you use your own mufflers or did you buy a spare set to work on these?

Haha you remind me of myself with RPI ambitions early on. Just want to make sure you're aware it's one of the loudest exhausts there is, including when just putzing around town.

Here's how I'd rate the volume of the different mufflers that I know about, and in the below, I'd imagine this mod is close to Remus, 2-3 (though I've never heard it so I can't confirm). Very different from RPI.

1 Stock
2 Remus
---
---
5 Stromung/SS Powerloops
---
---
8 Supersprint race
9 RPI
10 Straight piped

I got spare set locally for crazy cheap price and that's what triggered me of doing this mod, btw this mod is nothing to do with RPI by the sound level
