Nitron - NTR R1 Coilover Systems

It is time for me to get a new coilover setup. I tend to do this every few years to try a new setup. Currently, I am running KW V3 which is nice. The only issue is I do not like progressive springs which is nice for day to day driving. There is a conversion kit for V3 but I think money is best spend on a system that been R&D.

I looked at options available and we all know the popular ones most Z4Ms run. A few years back, I was considering AST 4100, now they have 5100. This is not really a setup specific for Z4M. My understand is a combination of E36 front and E46 rear for AST. I came across setup for Z4M by Nitron - NTR R1 Coilover Systems. The price is comparable to KW CS. I appreciate any advise or review from someone have it installed.

TIA

JRZ 2 is comparable Nitron NTR R1. I like Niton coilover rear but not sure if it rear strut tower is strong enough. Seem like Nitron is pretty popular in Europe.

Yeah, I am leaning toward Nitron at the moment.

I have no experience with Nitron, but user ANILE8 has them so you might want to try contacting them.

Looks like a top notch system, although from the picture ANILE8 posted it does not appear to be a coil-over system in the rear?

Nitron are popular over on the E46 M3 platform and are also widely used by Lotus guys. Excellent setup.

Do not go for a true rear coilover unless your rear towers are reinforced. You are looking for a "Divorced" rear setup.

After doing more research, rear coilover setup is costly.

Hello all, I have not gone for a rear coilover set-up because of the obvious issues with reinforcement and I am happy with the rear ride height with this kit.

The reason I have not updated my own thread is because I am currently abroad visiting the U.S. until early next month. Upon return home, I will be posting my full impressions of the kit along with further pictures of set-up and install notes for others who maybe interested.

Nitron offers full customisation on all of their kits to your exact specifications. Both the R1 and R3 kits can of course be ordered with a divorced rear set-up. Maybe this is not specified on their website but I might suggest that this is a marketing oversight.

One of the benefits of these kits is that they are fully supplied with excellent front camber kits as well as springs front and rear to your desired spring rates. This is not the case with many other kits on the market at this level and it can add up to quite a substantial cost saving.

I pulled the trigger on NTR-1 yesterday. It is 2 to 3 weeks lead time so I'll get some pics of the installed.

Good to hear. Seem like Nitron is more popular with E46. I can't wait to get my hands on them. Trying to prep car for one or two track events this year.
