Coding is driving me crazy

Updating NCSexpert to the newer version. Cant get IPNA to read anything but engine module. On day three of this little adventure.

Ok, this is fun now. Got all the bugs woorked out and its a blast. Have the 3 blink option activated. Will activate alarm tomorrow and this weekend recode coupe amp to a roadster amp. Let the fun begin. Had to solder pins 7 and 8 on my d-can cable and update some files but well worth it.

Figured I spent 8-10 hours on the internet troubleshooting. Changed NCSexpert to english too. The german was a bitch

how did you change it to english? is it 100% english, I am tired of going back and forth for translations on ncs experts for dummies

Just copy this file and paste in the cfgdata folder. Will overwrite the German to english. Makes all the difference. Enjoy!. All of the bottom tabs(change job, excute job...etc) are now in English. Make it much more comfortable knowing what you are doing.

My whole setup cost under$40. Had to solder for 30 seconds and all was well. Software can be a bitch but I can help with that through PM probably. I have a link I can pm you from where bought the cable and software. US shipper, took only four days to get to me. Most of these under $40 ones are in Europe or china and take up to 20 days.

4 days to Midwest. Needs pins 7 and 8 soldered. Just put a glob on to connect the two pins.

My cable was around $12 from a US seller so it only took a couple of days to arrive. I did have to solder pins and re-program it. The cable is sold as a VAG-COM cable to be used on VW.

Also, when I installed expert I selected english and did not need to add the english txt file.

Some coding stuff I did:

• windows up w/ remote
• alarm w/ tilt
• 3 blink turns
• custom hybrid e85/e86 amp programing
• reduce service interval
• remove NAV nag
• ACOUSTIC LOW OR FREEZING OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WARNING not active
• KEY LEFT IN IGNITION WARNING WHEN OPENING DOOR not active
• a few other things I can't remember right now.

It's all really easy to do once you get it all set up.

Yep. Real easy. Just got done with alarm. Loud as hell. Tomorrow I will code amp. Thanks Pungo for the trc file on that!

I like the fact that my cable is a kline or dcan so i can help some guys code with newer cars at our upcoming meet.

Down should be active already, you need to hold the unlock button down. Up is not for USA vehicles so use at your own risk.

It's on the GM module.

Just got done recoding to amp to an E85. So i have full alarm function with panic mode(loud,shrieking loud), three blink signals, turned off auto down windows and recoded amp so far. More to come I'm sure. Just have to find the time.

Heres a good helper. Not all codes in order they they show up in NCS but it will give you a good idea what module things are in. Note that there is not a DSP module listed . Maybe because this list only goes to 05. Anyway there is a DSp module for radio function.

That probably requires a motor that the Z doesn't have.
I've heard tale of getting the mirrors to tip and look down at the curb when you put it in reverse.
That's something I'd like, and we do have a motor for that.
