well this sucks.

With a heavy heart, Bavarian Autosport is sad to announce that we’ve closed our doors after 45 wonderful years. We have loved being part of your community as we’ve built, raced, and repaired our cars together. We are working on options to ensure that the Bavarian Autosport name will live on. Until then, thank you for your dedication and commitment to us over all these years.

What the hell? They were great supporters of the BMW community. I periodically would purchase items from them just to support their business.

A sad state of affairs to be sure.

So sad! I used to love receiving and browsing their catalog when it arrived in the mail back before the internet was a thing. They were the best bmw parts and knowledge base around with great support. Bought just about all my parts for my 2002 through them in the 90s. I still loved getting their catalog even today. I even won their photo contest one year with a pic of my e46 wagon in Yosemite. But with forums like these and so many bare bones and low cost part suppliers out there now, it must have been hard to compete. I too would buy some parts to show some support but other places were usually about 10% cheaper. Hope they reinvent themselves and come back stronger.

Ah, man. That sucks. Hopefully, they're going out on their own terms. Some of their prices weren't the best but they always had what I needed. Been jumping btwn them and FCP.

I have been reading about this since last week. I always enjoyed getting their catalog in the mail with the sweet customer pictures placed throughout.

I purchased items from them before I took delivery of my Z for being an excellent resource for BMW owners. A sad state of affairs indeed. Pour one out for Bavauto gentleman.
