Z4M to M5

Sorry but I had to do it! Had to buy it for the wife! We test drove an M3 comp, M5 and X5M and she chose the M5 comp. God bless her soul! Still have the Z4M but the M3 comp is quite tempting.

I really like the F80 Comp, but I'm not sure I think it's a huge upgrade in terms of driving pleasure over the Z4M Roadster. Especially not for the big increase in $$$.

Sweet Brother! I'll come up next weekend for a drive in your new beauty. Lucky Claudia!!! LOL Just got my M back this morning from the shop and the rack and pinion replacement is complete. Woohoo!

Agreed! I don't like black or white cars actually! Sometimes you gotta make compromises for the right deal. Lol "compromises".

I'm over 6 feet and over 200 lbs so the tiny bit of extra space and a solid roof are appealing.

I really don't like the new m models compared to the z4m. The m3 and m5 is another story though because it's a fast comfortable full size thing for the family. Makes total sense. The m2 and m4 are no where near as fun as a Z4m. The z4m is fun at 20kmh. The new cars aren't exciting until extreme speeds. The x5m on the other hand angers me because of the name. There is no 6 foot tall 5000lbs Motorsport vehicle. If they kept the 4.8is name, I'd have no issue. The m with the SUVs just touches a nerve for me on how accountants like selling badges. Good choice on the m5, but keep the z4m, it's probably the best driving vehicle the company ever made.

Agreed. I just picked the Z4M today from my shop after having rod bearings done and the three Ms we drove are no where near as rewarding to drive. The M5 is just a brute so you can't be mad at it lol.

Meh not sure I agree on a few things. What they decide to call it doesn't affect how I feel about my own cars or the M's that I like. Until you drive one, I don't think it's fair to rule them out. Because to me, the M SUV's are really fun in their own way, just because you don't think those thanks should be as fast or corner as well as they do. Like you said about the Z4M being an event, the X5M is one too, but just in a completely goofy way

I agree that the Z4M is fun even at low speeds. I don't know of too many BMW's in general that have as much drama/emotion as them
