Z4 CF Diffuser interest and discussion

I haven't seen a good looking diffuser that's pleasing to the eyes.

Would any of these look good on ours?

Just gauging some interest.

We have the eBay diffuser available but it's not the style nor the quality that I'd put on my own car.

The Blue M2 diffuser is the type of coverage I like but maybe a bit less aggressive or the white M2 with Vorsteiner 3 piece design to flow with the side skirt extension.

Thoughts or comments welcome.

Yes!!!! If you could fashion one up to cover the center portion of the rear bumper (Arkym style) or even follow the rear bumper from side to side (E9x style) that would awesome.

would be interesting , needs to be a bolt on piece, and if possible follow some functional elements so replace the stock under-diffuser, the little stick on upside down vortex generators are offensive to such a special little car imo.

i think one similar to the one in the White BMW photo would work. Something very similar to that one that can bolt on to the bumper and cover the center area of the bumper but still be functional will attract lots of pontetial buyer for a reasonable price. Just my opinion.

I don't see this being more than a cosmetic add on. Want function, check Varis or Fancy Wide

im not even sure the FW is functional.... its basically an eBay special , I'm not really sure its offering anything other than motorsport Look, until i see some actual data and not opinions then I'm not convinced at all.

The FW is still smoothing the air out on the back of the car so it's doing more than not having one at all.

I know some of you don't like the tack on style diffusor in the top picture, but I assure you it doesn't fit nearly as poorly as in that picture. Mine sits perfectly flush underneath with no gaps. It was inexpensive and I think it looks great on the car.

I have that one, too, and made the same observation.
Yea, it's a little cheesy, but it fits much better than shown in the first picture.

The Varis diffusor system 1 + 2 is my favourite so far as it both looks amazing and is functional with its under tray covering all the way over the differential lock. it's just pretty pricey...

who would like to see sth similar?

I'm a big believer in form follows function. everything else is just.....well... RICE

But too bad that they dont cover up the area at the gearbox (just after the aluminium reinforcement plate). That space is quite a bit of a wind trap on the underside.

I like the VRS, too except the under tray for the muffler. It limits the muffler choice for those who already have after market mufflers on their cars and a few extra step for servicing the car down there. These are $2000 for the set as a reference.

Their front splitter also has a large under tray, combined most of the car is covered. Pretty sure it does have an effect. At least it reduces lift, if not creating downforce

True that. Though most aftermarket cans fit, not the saggy oem ones of course^^

In Europe it's even more expensive. 1+2 is about 2500€ in Germany. Quite hefty

Still, to me the design is really special and outstanding compared to all the diff out there. It looks like the real deal and we could try to orientate on that

Same here. Definitely enjoy that look but wouldn't complain with the blue m2 version either
