I scrape the front end about once a month, usually on some incline for a driveway or parking lot enterance. I quickly learned lesson #1 "rule #1- never go too far into a parking spot. (the threat of the parking barrier/curb)". In the spring/summer/fall weather I use the touch-up paint to touch up the front end every month or so.
As far as bottoming out, that has been strictly limited to speed bumps and the occational snow in the road. With the sport package, the ground clearance is simply not enough to clear a few of the speed bumps there in town, particularly if I have a passanger in the car. The sound is completely disheartening.

My typical back road home will make any Z4 scrape, no matter your skill level. Either that, or you're not going fast enough.

+1 It is all about the angles. And yes, I am still talking about driving
Yal, if you are scraping then there must be bumps no? I wouldn't be going fast over a road bad enough to make my car scrape... it hurts me just to think about it.

Where Yal lives is very rural. I went for a drive in that area over the weekend, and found a log in the road....not very conducive to sports car clearance. However, cause I knew of the storm and possible road hazards, I was extra slow on the curvy hilly roads of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Luckily I didn't see any snow.

Slow on curvy hilly roads? For shame.

when the trees are falling from the 40 to 50 mph winds, you take some care. I can't wait to change out my suspension for the TCK coilovers and see how much scraping I do after that.
