Z4MR top/door rubber seal thingamabob

Hello. If this isn't a thingamabob, I don't know what is!

I recently had my top out to relocate my top motor/pump and top off with hydraulic fluid...all went well. The issue is these odd rubber pieces that make the transition from the door to the top. When I removed them, I took off the old 2x sided gummy tape. I didn't realize that they would be so hard to replace the tape. The rubber is so slick, nothing will stick to it. Tried cleaning with alcohol, etc. Even high speed 3m tape used for attaching body moldings won't stick.

2 questions : 1. Any idea how to get the tape to stick? I'm thinking maybe some contact cement to get the tape to stick to the rubber part, but that could ruin it for the next remover.
2. Anyone know the official name? I'm having a hard time finding the part with BMW parts web sites. Only eBay.

Thanks!

Maybe I got lucky or something but I simply used double sided tape, I think it was little squares mostly used to put pictures on a wall.
