$100 for 30min? ...seems a little on the high side.
This is a DIY if you can handle a wrench & bleed some brake fluid.

I didn't need to bleed the clutch either. When are you heading to the NS? We're there over the Easter weekend (20th - 24th March). Just booked our accomodation yesterday!

I'll likely hit every descent weekend that I possibly can for the upcoming season. I live only one hour from the NS. Keep in touch and I'll see about getting up there over Easter. Are you staying at the Hotel Tiergarten? I love the food there!

Has anyone in the Bay Area had this done at a shop? I'm mechanically challenged and want to get someone to do it for my 07 M Coupe that I just finished break in. Just need to find a shop that can do it and has no affiliation with BMW SF.

I always wondered what that was, I always thought it was a user error! Always happens going into 2nd gear right after I hit a bump! It has only happened when pulling into my workplace.

I should be here when you return. I just received another three years to begin this Summer.

Lower Shield (cheese grater) is removed by removing 4-10mm bolts
Clutch line is clamped and CDV is removed by first removing hard line (11mm flare wrench) and then CDV from flexible line (17mm flare wrench) Clutch line is bled using pressure bleeder and 7mm wrench Some of the information in my 335i write-up may be applicable (like the pressure bleeding process) found at http://www.billswebspace.com/BMWCDVMod.htm

Pressure bleed
Quote:
When you disconnect the flex clutch hose to remove the CDV you will most likely introduce some air into the clutch line. If air is introduced you will feel a very spongy clutch pedal. Sometimes if you let the car sit overnight the air bubble will rise up through the line and disperse into the brake fluid reservoir. I prefer to pressure bleed the clutch system using a Motive Power Bleeder.
