Question Who got a new RMFD-Trans in their M's?

For some reason it looks like the dealer never gave me my new trans as promised. This is the part number I just pulled off the tranny 23007837276. What is the part number of the new remanufacured transmission. Thanks.

Here is a picture I took. Wouldnt the new trans come with a new CDV Valve too? I noticed there was I CDV valve on this "New" Trans...

I don't think I understand the question. You seem to be the only one who has heard of this "remanufactured" transmission. And all manual BMWs have CDVs...I don't think you're going to get a break on that one...

Your part number seems to be different than the realoem part number tho...23007837983

I know I checked realoem - If you google the RealOEM part number you will get a RMFD-Part number (Remanufactured). My question is the part number that I took a picture of, is this the original trans that came with the car? Cause I have a feeling that they did not give me the new transmission.

not exactly true on the CDV thing.... my 04 had NO CDV, and i was it's first owner. i asked my BMW tech friend about this... he had no answer other than it wasn't totally unusual for then to find a Z4 with out the CDV from time to time.

Well...here's what I got so far.

We're supposed to share trannies with the 3.0 Z4 and that part is 23007565855. So you seem to have a mystery gearbox. Anyone else want look under their cars at and check part #s?

Art, are you freaking KIDDING ME? Do you know how long ago people on this forum asked you to look up the number on your new trans? DECEMBER 10th. That's pronounced "A MONTH AGO" in English. You got back to us YESTERDAY.

Now, I don't expect a guy with a M Coupe and a 335i to be the most patient, unhurried bipedal hominid on the planet, but this is a bit much. Grab a book, switch to decaf, and give us a while, okay? Sheesh.

Well yeah, he can get an aftermarket "CDV delete" but I doubt he'll get one from the dealer...

What I was saying is. I did the CDV Delete on my own trans. And if this is the "New" Trans they claim it is. A new trans would come with the whole assembly including CDV. But when I looked under the car, I see the old part number and NO CDV. It almost looks the same from when I did it. So i feel as if they lied to me...

They probably just switched out the gearbox. If you say it feels better, I don't see why it's a big deal...However, I think the part number differences are definately worth looking into.
