Yeah, me too.

Danny Kaye used to present the movie on TV when I was a kid around the holidays. Remember him?

I don't remember him specifically but do remember being very excited for the once-per-year showing of the movie. It was a big event in our house when I was a kid.

It was shown every year in the mid 60s on Sunday night. My family gathered around the TV to watch and yes, was a big event in our house too.

Especially loved Judy Garland as Dorothy (who didn’t).

Danny Kaye was a comedian in movies and TV. Had his own TV show for a while.

The movie that scared the crap out of me was “The Blob” starring
Steve McQueen. I had nightmares for days afterwards.

My knees are a constant work in progress. If I don't exercise them almost daily they'll start hurting again.

I have lost so much padding/fluid in my knee caps that I can't even kneel or crawl any more without excruciating pain...even on a pillow or padded mat.....

I briskly walk 3 miles almost every night. Years ago my knees started hurting during my walks. The only way I can describe it is it felt like glass in my knees cutting me with almost every step. So I started exercising my knees; squats, lunges, stair stepping. First without weights, then I added weights. The pain went away. If I miss days of walking or exercising, it can come back so I have to be dilligent about it.

When I hear music on the street, I STILL run out the front door yelling "Ice cream man" I dance around in the front room until my wife nods her head.

Similar, but less enthusiastically when I hear the old bicycle horn: "Honey, elote guy!" (metal trash can full of hot water, ears of corn, butter, mayo, grated parmesan, chile powder)

I’m beginning to better understand the ‘tired’ in retired with every passing day.
