Z4M specific track prep checklist
With track events around the corner. What is everyone's Z4M specific track preparation routine? General prep checklist items are obvious, but I'm asking more on what/how to prepare a (mostly) stock Z4M, specifically?
Fueling: run with full tank? or 3/4? 1/2? How often to fuel up? Octane booster? Any specific track alignment specs, or, keep stock? Any quick reversible weight reduction tips? Any cooling upgrades? Any trans fluid upgrades? Brake pads: are stock ok, or, need upgrade? Another thread posted that racing brake fluid (castrol) is recommended, rather than Ate typ 200. Yes/no?

I would say that if you’re new to this, don’t over think it. Make sure your car is in good condition and you keep up on the maintenance. Run what you brung and figure it out as you go.

The gas tank light on our cars is not as reliable on track. It could be a few more laps, could run out this lap. Prepare accordingly Otherwise make sure fluids are in good standing, when in doubt have a BMW shop (indy) do a pre-track inspection. |

So I figured. Z4Ms are mostly track ready in stock form. You could get crazy with it or not. I really don't want to go overboard.
