Are there any boost guages with perhaps a max bar of 1.0 or in PSI? When you think about it, I don't think anyone, anytime soon will be making 2.0 bar on the Z4M....

Since most Z4m kits are aroun 5 - 10 psi, seems a like it would be hard to guage relative to bar.

That is a tough find. We have worked with the Defi Advanced CR and that gauge goes to 1.2 bar. If you need any more information let me know.

would love to do something like you did, but i decided i just cant wait any longer for gauges.
Ill be waiting forever to figure out the 'perfect' custom mount.
With the 3500 series that change color when in alarm range, my peripheral vision should pick it up.

Going with the 3D design pod is much faster with less headache. It's a really nice looking an functional set-up IMO. If i were to do it again, I would have gone this route.

The color cange really does catch your peripheral view. The only exception being a hard left turn when you are looking to the left rather than right or straight ahead. The lower position may even work out better because there is less light there than at the dash level; the color change may be more significant to you peripheral at that location.

looking forward to your review

Do you need to take out the center trim piece to install the pod, or just the ash tray?

I believe it attaches from the bottom, so you have to take out the full center trim.

Are these still being made? I don't see them on the manufacturer's site

IND has installed a number of gauge packages for our clients, and in doing so has worked hard to optimize each install for a factory fit, finish, and functionality. It is from this experience that we are able to truly appreciate the thought and detail 3D Design has put forth in developing and producing their adapters and gauge pods. 3D Design has developed adapters for monitoring water temp as well as a unique adapter that is fitted to the S54 oil filter housing. The oil filter housing adapter is capable of supporting two sending units, one for oil temperature and another for oil pressure. For non M owners 3D Design has also spent a significant amount of time on the M54, N52B25A, and N52B30A sending unit adapters.
