Lately I've been hitting the simulator range 2x a week for the last few months. Trying to get more consistent feel. I hit my first HIO on the sim a few weeks ago, 8i from 170y out. My short irons have some pretty solid grouping and I can hit the green about 70% of the time from about 180-190y and in, but past that it falls apart. My most strokes lost are off the tee - I lost 3 balls this last weekend and still shot an 85. I do have some average numbers for my clubs thanks to the sim data... Latest driver session had me at around 170 avg ball speed, ~2500 backspin, ~400 side spin, 7.4 launch angle, 288y carry, ~314 total.

Wow! Congrats on the HIO! How did that feel? I feel like I am the complete opposite to you. I can hit a drive pretty damn good, but then my approach shot to hit onto the green..it's no where to be found. Instead of being on in 2, I am on in 4. Pretty discouraging! Something happened over the winter break to where I am not hitting the ball as true as last summer. So that is why I am spending all of this time working to get that fixed before the season starts. I played this past Friday (first time playing outside all year). I lost two balls on hole 1 teeing off. lol. That wasn't the only time either. lol. Those numbers look great to be honest. below 3000 back spin is key and letting the ball carry pretty damn far! Now, the key is putting it all together....lol. Which I am working towards.
