Unless you get stuck. I have seen a lot of people burn out their clutch trying get their car going after being stuck in the snow.

Dunno, my wife managed her W204 C63 (I did put in a LSD for her) for 2 winters fine and I tend to agree, the creep allows the car to move from a dead stop easier on low traction

Smoking Tire guy carrying 60lbs more than he should and proclaiming he forgets to eat

Throttle House was in Toronto for a huge meet recently, Harris was there too. So this was shot just a few weeks ago. The three have great chemistry.

I don't know if I believe the comment of 20k engines and this being the first failure like that. Not saying they are junk engines or anything but few automakers if any could have that high of quality control especially on performance engines like this that get driven hard.

LT4 has been proven to be pretty much bulletproof. Owners have been modding them getting reliable power from stock internal engines for years. Haven't ever read of any specific recurring issues. Honestly sometimes sh*t happens, just happened to be with C/D loaner.

yikes. i would say its unlucky but it has been a pattern for GM:

- didn't like 3 c7z overheat in the hands of motortrend ?
- nismo gtr beat the c7z lap on MT head to head, because GM didn't setup the alignment properly.
- they mention in the article their 2014 vette long termer threw a rod
- now this ct5 blows up.

There is more on it in the article, they got a new engine, broke it in, and continued to beat on it with no further issues. These engines are beat on in ZL1s, Corvettes and the like and there appear to be no real overall issues.

Really seems like some freak issue. They said it may have been a fuel blockage (obstruction), but whatever it might have been was impossible to tell.

One thing that does bother me is these engines do not have fuel filters anymore. My LS3 did. The LT1 does not. I assume the LT4 does not either, since the architecture is the same.
