Belts..E46 / E85 The same?

Tried to search and google, but couldn't find an answer. I feel a little silly but it might just be a mind block for me.

Is the M54 belt the same length in the Z4 as the 330i?

The reason I ask is because the Z4 has electric steering while the 330i has hydraulic. So I would imagine that pulley is gone (or different size).

Thoughts , knowledge and insight appreciated!

Probably not, due to the power steering pump on the E46. Most belts have a part number on them.

Yea I'm going at a deeper issue because I'm changing the pulley size on my supercharger and although it's easy to determine the M54 engine E46 and E39 belt length, it's not so easy for the E85 as it's not a common kit.

Why they chose to start the electric steering with the E85 instead of them all is a mystery

I have a belt hanging around when I dropped sizes on my pulley.
I realize you are running ESS so likely totally different size to start with.
You can see if it will work, if you want come get it.
As you know the part # is relative to the belt length, so if it is too big or small you can narrow down to the one you need.
