ARRRGGG! Fender Dent!

Was at the mall and saw this! It didn't happen at the mall since my wife noticed it when we got out of the car and I have no idea where or how. Now what? Suggestions? Paintless dent removable?, Body shop & repaint or new fender & repaint?

That's a perfect candidate for paintless dent removal if I ever seen one.

I'd go with PDR. Probably around $150 for just 1 dent and it will look like new. I noticed the hood of my wife's Q5 had about a dozen dimples from the hail storm we had last month. She still hasn't noticed, so I figure I'd just let it go.

Absolutely - a buddy of mine had some "eejit" indy mechanic lean back on his fenders while supporting his weight on the knuckles of his clenched fist. Needless to say, it left an impression on my buddy and on each of his fenders that was not nice at all. Paintless dent removal fixed it perfectly.

PS - for a definition of "eejit" rent a copy of "The Commitments" and enjoy while the car is getting fixed.

OP sorry to see the dent. I have the exact dent it seems in my drivers fender. I will check out the paintless removal.

That's just cold. But, completely and utterly hilarious.

Interesting! I just watched a bunch of YouTube videos on this and think I might give it a go tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

I'm skeptical. The videos have as many dislikes as likes.

Definitely pointless dent removal, but personally I'd let the pros do it. Good luck, should turn out fine.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I was told if you butcher the dent DIYing it the PDR guys won't be able to fix it afterwards. My old M3 had a serious dent in the rear quarter that the previous owner tried to tap out from inside the trunk; I had to live with the scar the whole time I had it.

If you're looking for a PDR guy T at Dent Xpress in Mississauga does good work and is highly regarded by the BMW guys in the area. I've never gone there myself (nor am I affiliated) but I've had friends go and I couldn't spot the dent after the fix.

That must be a really vulnerable spot. I've had pdr done 3x over the years in that same spot, 2x on right and 1x left

Had a similar thing happen this weekend, finally washed the car after 2 weeks of rain and found that someone hit the trunk right by the M badge and scratched the bumper. Damaged enough that I need a new lift, thankfully the insurance is covering with only a $250.00 deductible. Still really angry about it.

I tried pointless dent removal on My Daughter's car for a while.
Every time I removed a dent she would add two more.
