Hi together.

I would like to announce here once that I will give 10% discount on my sound generators up to and including Friday night due to the Black Friday week. So instead of 399€ now 360€.

In addition, I can still get to orig. BMW CSL pipes at a price of 38€. Here at my BMW dealer are still some there.

So if you want one urgently, feel free to contact me. But I think because of the shipping is worth it only as a collection of several together from Germany to e.g. the USA. In the USA would then have to be a willingness to continue to send them there. Whether that makes sense I do not know. Just wanted to offer it.

I'm glad they did something about the lip of the intake opening, although it would be better with some kind of a permanent fix (maybe having the surface of the inlet 'rough'?).

Could you share a picture of the inlet?

I work on it already. I have all necessary parts for M3 E46 now there. If I get the time this week maybe I can give by end of this week feedback if and how it works. But until now ist looks good

I went for a normal drive on the weekend and I reckon the sound is even better when you're not trying too hard. The Medium throttle, medium revs warble is great!

Installed mine yesterday, I would echo a few of the minor challenges people have already brought up in this thread. Fits nicely under the OEM strut bar. With an RPi exhaust, eventuri, sound solution, and now this new airbox, I personally don’t hear anything from the cabin until the last ~6500-8000 rpm. Looks amazing, absolutely stunning piece of carbon, and the quality is top notch. I’m happy with it!

I agree, i am still missing my Eventuri, but I agree, the medium throttle and mid range rpm is where is very joyfull, but that is the case with the CSL replica too. In my case, the sound generator enhances de experience.

Looks like the consensus is that intake noise is easily overpowered by an x-pipe or muffler setup. As much as I like the pops and burbles, the louder exhaust has been wearing on me as I approach middle age

Perhaps time to revert to the stock mufflers paired with carbon airbox and eventuri intake scoop.

this happens with the CSL Style too. I reverted back from REMUS to stock cans as it was pretty loud to me.

Even Supersprint V1 stepped headers and cat'd s-pipe, with stock x-pipe and rear mufflers, drowned out a lot of the intake noise when I had the stock intake. I installed the Eventuri at the same time as my Supersprint Powerloop rear mufflers, so I don't know if the SS mufflers are drowning out even more. Having the windows down definitely sways the balance back towards the intake sound.

i'm "well into middle age" and just adore the Eisenmann cans on my car. I would not trade their sound for some other sound. They add depth and character with absolutely no downsides.

Perhaps a balance needs to be found?

I just wriggled it on bit by bit. Once the whole pipe was on the oval section it was relatively easy to push it the rest of the way on.

Now that people have had their boxes for a longer time, how are your thoughts now? Worth it? Regrets?

I'm really happy with mine. It gives more volume than just an Eventuri and provides that CSL warble. My expectations were probably a bit too high when I first installed it, but if I were to go back to when we first started discussing this project, this is exactly the outcome I was hoping for (noting I would have preferred an exact replica of the OE plenum, but I understand why Karbonius did it this way).

I've had no buyers remorse. It sounds fantastic and definitely gives more volume over the eventuri I had previously. I wish it was a bit cheaper but overall I'm very happy with it.

Did you keep that rubber insert on the the inside of the elbow or leave it off ?
