H&R Z4M Coilover Spring Rates

Does anyone know the spring rates on the H&R coilovers for the E85/E86 Z4M? Thanks in advance.

I believe they are progressive.

If someone could give me what the progressive rates start at that would be most helpful. I know that a lot of people have been saying that the KWs are a bit soft and the HR are just right. I'm thinking about going with a custom valved solution that comes with top camber plates already which H&R and KW do not come with. Thanks in advance!

Take my opinions with a grain of salt. I test drove a Z4M with H&R coilovers and hated them. It's like they're stiff for the sake of being stiff and not much else. My GC coilovers with 440lbs front & 525lbs rear springs ride so much more comfortable and handle better and more precisely. I've also owned TCK coilovers and KW V3's and they were more comfortable and handled better than the H&R coilovers as well. The H&R coilovers are cheap and you get what you pay for.

My experience was quite the opposite.

I had GC coilovers, also with 440/525 springs, and while they were good on the track, the ride was unbearable over city streets.

I have since switched out to H&R coilovers and they ride like stock.

Very different opinions here. I have to side with the "H&Rs are awesome" guys though. Had em on my 335i and they were unreal.

I've had TCK DAs on my roadster with Vorshlag camber plates and I believe the camber plates were a bit clunky, but the car rode like a dream. The KW CS I haven't played with enough yet to report back, but I'm hoping I can soften them from where they are now, because it is a VERY taut ride..

i find the kw clubsports incredibly shit on the streets, i find myself avoiding every single ripple in the road and if i do hit one i wince as it crashes through the whole car, this is made worse of course by my semi slicks....

on the track or the right road incredible, but for a 400lb linear spring i expected a more comfortable ride, i don't know if they use some sort of beefed up valving but, they are shit on the bumpy back roads, if my car was a DD id remove them immediately.

then again they are a track coil over so.... can't have your cake and eat it i guess but i must stress, on the track with a semi slick tyre..... insane.....

My Moupe will hit the streets in 4 days so I'll let you know what I think about the H&R Street Performance coilovers.

I ended up going with Fortune Auto Series 500 Coilovers with the Radial Bearing and Swift Spring upgrade. The mixed feedback I was getting on the H&R made me concerned a bit that it was too harsh of a ride. Seemed to be a better deal the fact that it comes with built in camber plates with custom valving options. Also comes with a 5 yr warranty on the parts and 2 year on the strut. I went with a street valved 9k/11k setting on these. Will have these in 2 weeks with my feedback!

Looking forward to your review. I keep going back and forth between KW V3's, Bilstein PSS10's, and H&R coil overs depending upon the reviews.

I've been driving my Moupe with the H&R coilovers for almost 10 miles now and they have settled a bit, like ½ an inch. The ride is firmer than stock but feels great, the lower profile (-5 mm all around compared to stock) on the tires contributes to the firmer ride as well. Very happy with the upgrade!
