Convertible Top Issue
Can someone help solve this problem. My 2006 top retracts fully, but the dash light does not go out and continues to blink while top is down. Top performs perfectly going up and in all other respects. I've run this by Mike Miller at BMW Car Club and had my dealer look at it. No solution. I think there is a sensor that clicks in when the top reaches its down limit, but I can't find a diagram that accurately locates it and I wonder if it can be replaced without removing the top. your help is appreciated.

This is the best I can find for sensor(s)location:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_1638 If it were me, I wouldn't touch anything until the top failed. It's aging electronics and since it's working up/down, the flashing light might simply be a false fail from either the sensor or the convertible controller. |

This video might help with top issues. Around 2:45 he describes a switch that detects if top is down. Might be able to get to it with top up? Good luck.
