Havent read of anyone installing it on their car but it has been done by AC Schnitzer on their 2007 Profile concept car. I dont know if it's a BMW CSL airbox but it sure looks like it. Even if not i'm sure it works the same anyway.

Been speaking to ca automotive about this and may place an order mid Jan. Is anyone else considering this kit as it would be great to see if we could do a group discount of some sort....

Their kit is bespoke for the z4m so a direct fit.

I would if it wasnt so horrendously expensive. 2,300 pounds just for the intake and that's not including the cost of Alpha N mapping which should be another 1,500...

This kit includes :

- Carbon Airbox
- Silicone connectors
- Air filter
No mention of the mapping required, if the 2.3k is with the mapping then it's not too bad. Still very expensive but i might be persuaded a bit easier.

It's done for nearly the same price here, so don't see why they should be twice as much...

You don't have to get the car remapped with alpha-n to run a csl intake. If you buy the bimmerworld one you can buy there version that uses the MAF unlike the OEM CSL intake which does not run an maf because it runs alpha-n. If you get the bimmerworld one that uses the maf then you don't "have" to get a software tune although I think the gains would be better with the likes of ess software.

You're right of course but we were talking about the ca-automotive one which doesnt run a MAF sensor. Also the way i understand it the one with the mass air flow sensor from bimmerworld uses an external cone filter and only their non-MAF versions are like the proper CSL one with internal filters.

I was looking at the bimmerworld ones a whle ago but they're still too expensive for just an intake plus with the import tax and everything the price wouldnt be much different anyway.

Love the sound, regardless of HP gain, the music alone is worth the $$
