Heatsoak with GruppeM intake?

I'm looking to buy the GruppeM intake and reading around i've seen several people mention heatsoak but others that say it wont really suffer from it. Does anyone have the GruppeM induction kit and lives somewhere with a hot and dry climate?

Here in Cyprus temperature in the summer can soar up to 40+ degrees in the shade so i want to be sure that the hot weather wont affect the car that much before i buy the kit.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

The summer heat is going to hurt performance regardless; I lived in Phoenix the past 3 years (would hit 120°F in the summer - 49°C) and you could feel the car dragging with the stock airbox. I can't imagine the GruppeM will be much worse.

I've also noticed a difference myself this past summer but when you look at the stock airbox it looks to be a sealed design right? The GruppeM kit is open on the ends so that's what's bugging me.. Still havent read anything conclusive for either view though.

I have the Group M and used the car this past summer in southern Italy. I noticed no difference with the GroupM versus the regular air box. Made the same trip the previous year. Heat is going to take its toll no matter what intake you use.

If it's really hot and you're worried about it, it only takes 10 minutes to swap the GruppeM with the stock box. So I don't think this should be a deciding factor.
