2007 Z4 M Coupe (Z4M) Titanium Silver E86

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
I bought this Titanium Silver Z4M Coupe from Copart last year. It has little dents all over a lot of the exterior panels from a hail storm in Colorado. At the exact time I purchased it back in October 2018, I had just sold my Nissan GTR and was hoping to eventually buy a high end sports car in late 2019. I thought this would be a fun driveable project car while i saved up for the next big purchase. At first i made a lot of progress fixing parts on the car and sourcing some parts, but I ended up finding a great deal on a 911 I had been drooling over and bought it. After buying the 911, the spot i had in my garage to work on this Z4M was taken and all work progress on this car halted.

*8-2-19 UPDATE: Replaced fan and everything is good, no overheating now. Have purchased replacement Front fenders, rear fenders, and roof and currently planning to repaint the entire car. I'll be installing Euro Headers and Euro mid exhaust section...and may end up keeping the car after its all dialed in. Priced at $18k now with all parts included and will be raising the price as things are installed and painted.

Fast forward to now and realistically i'm probably never going to get the work done on this Z4M and i don't have the motivation to drive it as much either now since it's extremely similar (RWD, Naturally Aspirated, 2 door, 2 seater etc).
It's time to cut ties with this Z4M and let someone that has the time and motivation take over where i left off.

Exterior Color: Titanium Silver
Interior Color: Black Leather
Title: Clear (not salvage title despite the hail damage)
Miles: 108,850
Run & Drive: Yes
Registration: Current (California) - no smog problems and I'll have it smogged for the buyer of course again as required by California law.
Interior Condition: I'd say about 7/10.
Exterior Condition: Probably a 4/10. The paint itself is pretty good but tons of dents from the hail storm and some lower damage to front bumper as well as a fairly large scratch on drivers door.
Oil: I just paid for an oil change within the past 50 miles of driving it
Radiator Coolant: Just paid for a radiator flush/new coolant 50 miles ago at same time as oil change.
Tires: Good
Brakes: Good

I've purchased replacement Roof panel, front fenders, and rear fenders and planning to have the entire car repainted with the new panels. I'll be raising the price as things are installed and painted.

I'm probably forgetting a bunch of details but feel free to call, text, or message.

Thanks
Alex

Hey guys,
A few things.
#1 i did lower the price last week.
#2 I had a little time last week to bring the Z4MC to discount tire to have them inspect that rear tire that was leaking. They said it was a cracked wheel. I've found another forum member here that is selling 2 rear wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires mounted and am going to be purchasing those to fix the problem. This will also get the tire pressure sensor light to go away (finally).
#3 I have actually had a lot of interest in the past week now that i did lower the price. All PMs replied to.

With 118K miles and no body damage or mechanical issues, this would probably be a $23K car. If it had 70K miles it'd be closer to $30K. Mileage is definitely on the high side for an M Coupe.

This one has significant body damage that will require repairing, replacing and painting most or all of the body panels. How much would that cost? $5-10K? More?

Plus undercarriage damage and unknown mechanical issues like overheating? I'm sorry, but this is a tough sell. It'd probably cost $20K or more to make this car right (hence why it was on Copart), and that's just not worth it on a 118K mile example. You might consider parting it out. The value is in the drivetrain and parts, even with the mileage.

110% Agreed, asking price is high in my opinion. But I don't think the car should be parted out. Someone should turn this into a track car as long as there's no frame/or structural damage to the suspension.

Hi Reid, unfortunately not only is your opinion inaccurate, it's what people call "thread-crapping." If you have a problem with my thread and asking price, why not PM me and discuss it? What are you getting out of it? You think it will take $20,000 to fix hail dents? That doesn't make any sense and your inaccurate opinions are rude and unfair to sellers on this forum. You need to understand that your point of view is not the only one. There are people out there that buy Z4MCs for racing, and if they can pick one up like mine and save $5k because they don't need it to look pretty, it's a bonus for them. Some people are going to wide body or go crazy with aero stuff and oem panels get covered with aftermarket, so again, saving $5k is useful. And then there are guys that are handy and can do the work themselves and want to save $5k to do their own labor. I mentioned that I'm including PDR tools in the thread even. Some people just want a Z4MC but can't afford to pay $23k but are patient to fix it, and will shop around online for good condition replacement panels for cheap. If someone was patient and shopped well they could probbaly replace all the hail damaged panels for less than $2000, same color too. You need to think before you post. I will be reporting your post to the mods.

Sorry have not been active in selling this, had a big move at my company and a lot of family stuff going on. I've replied to all PMs. Officially the car is still available.
