OK looks like Sunday May 15th is the day. So now let just hope for nice warm weather and no rain.

3GFX I started to look at the route you suggested through google street view and on the Terra Nova Driving loop noticed that Side Road 15 is not paved. Now these photos were taken Sept 2011 and there is no street view data for Side Rd 15 at 2 Line west, looks like more like a 4x4 trail. Do you know if it has been paved since 2011? I don't know about anyone else but I would like to avoid dirt roads all together.

I think I've been on all those roads except that section of sr15, so I can't really answer.
I was just there on Monday too. I could have confirmed.

I suspect it has since been paved, if need be, I can do a run up there.

I've gone over the route again. I was trying to not double back but didn't realize it pinned to a dirt road....but there is one section we'll go over twice, simply because there are some good roads to hit that interfere with the loop.

I've redone the map that works efficiently pointing us to the next route.

Thanks for the maps but how would you go about using it to navigate? I found an app called inRoute that I found very useful for me. It allows waypoint navigation, something that google maps doesn't support on the iPhone. I simply set the Start, all the waypoints in between to cover my fav roads and the destination as you would in creating maps in google maps. The difference is that I can get voice navigation through those waypoints. It's extremely helpful for exploring new areas I'm not familiar with. The app also tells you elevation, curviness, expected temperature and precipitation of your route so it's great for cross-country road trips. Oh, and it supports the use of .gpx files but sometimes the waypoints need tidying up.

Just thought I'd share what I use to avoid the hassle of figuring out directions and enjoying my cruise. I'm excited to join you guys for the Spring Cruise.

This message was NOT sponsored by the developers of the inRoute app haha

On a different note, any way we can incorporate a mini-swap meet type of thing with this cruise? There are a few things I'd like to get rid of and it'd be a good chance to do that while we're mostly together.. just a thought

Would be cool to have that many Zeds, but......
Only 14 unique voters in total across all dates.
9 votes for May 15th but I think around 7-10 will show.

I know the area quite well and could lead; but I prefer someone else.

Any app or navigation is good to me...I'm just suggesting the route.

Sorry if it sounded like I'm criticizing, that wasn't my intention at all...
I am genuinely curious what other forum members use to navigate new routes so I shared what worked for me. Thanks for posting the suggested route.

No worries didn't think that at all!

I've led cruises before in different clubs but you're always a little worries about pacing and keeping everyone together yada yada. I'm in a Non-M with no Navi so I'll be winging it.

If someone has the ability to program their nav and lead the route that'd be awesome. It all depends on your navi. I do miss my Jetta in this regard. I had a nice sound system setup that was full android and ran iGo Primo for navigation which allowed me to pre-program a route.

Shelburne would be conveniently close to the start of the route.
I'm not aware of many places to grab breakfast though.
Did a quick google etc, not much shows up.

There is a fair amount of route to cover before lunch, Creemore might make a better lunch destination time wise.
There are a few places there.

Then we could carry on to the top end after that & those that need to get back could call it a day at that point.

I'm not familiar with food in Shelbourne either. But there is a nice starter road coming out of shelbourne that would lead the route nicely.

Here are two places I've found on google for breakfast:

Country Cabin
https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restauran...e_Ontario.html

Champ Burger
https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restauran...e_Ontario.html

Other than that is Subway, Chinese and such. Not even a Tims.

I would love to join you all but I'm in the very east end. Is there somewhere I could meet up for the lunch + portion of the day?

So I did some thinking and this is what I have come up with thus far using the some of the proposed routes. Let me know what you guys think about this.

Since there's slim pickings for breakfast in around Shelbune, what about meeting for Breakfast at Angel's dinner in Orangeville (same place as the Fall Cruise) or maybe at Barb's Country Kitchen on Hwy 10 just north of Orangeville. Both seem to have good google reviews.
  • So meet at one of those places for 8AM. Planned Routes
  • Leave at 9AM and drive up to Horning Mills which the route I have takes 1hour. Orangeville to Horning Mills Route
  • Meet at Horning Mills at 10AM for those that didn't come to Breakfast.
  • Shoot the shit for 15-30 mins and leave at 10:30 driving up to Creemore, this route is 53KM and take 46mins. Horning Mills to Creemore Route
  • Drive through Creemore to Pretty River parkway which is 33KM and 32 mins putting us roughly 11:45. Creemore to Pretty River Parkway
  • Here I say revers the route back to Creemore arriving at roughly 12:15.
  • Have Lunch somewhere in Creemore........and that as far as I got.

Open to suggestions other routes idea etc......

Looking good Adam

I agree about breakfast in the Orangeville area.
The only thing I would suggest on the initial route is going a little further up 10, then take the road through Mono Center.
It's an excellent bit of road.
