KW V3 Installation help

Guys need help with KW V3 Installation on my Z4mc

Installing last night rear springs and stuck with following: KW Instruction stating that upper rubber pad needs to be removed. I have hard time to believe that metal to metal connection in suspension is good Idea .

metal contact definitely not good. I just installed a set of ST X which is basically same as KW V1 and the rear perches come with its own rubber pad. You just re-use the bottom rubber pad. Is it not the case with V3? Did you buy the set used or new?

You don't need the rubber pad. No suspension set up that is more to the serious performance side of things will have a spring pad in the rear. In addition KW knows their shit so if they say no spring pad i would not go against the way they say the suspension should be set up.

yes it was used, and I think I already figured out that they need rubber ring, I end up of Installing same style thin rubber pad as factory one at the bottom, that's what mechanic suggested me

Sounds like the previous owner has misplaced these pads/rings. If you found something similar that's great.

F360C, yes KW do know their stuff and here's the pic of the rear spring perches from KW V3 for e85/e86 which shows the rubber pad in question. It is exactly the same as other KW/ST suspensions including V1 and ST X variants.

I think the factory rubber piece is removed bacause the KW unit has it's own piece. It should not be metal to metal..... .that part you are right about. Good instincts !!

Can you please let me know how much can the car be lowered with the V3? Cause on their website it said it can only be lowered by 1.5" front and 1.4" rear. I'm hoping it can lower by more than that, at least I wish the fenders can line up with the top of the tires.

Here is the information out of the official parts approval document:

10-40 mm

I don't think that you can as low as you want to ...

In my opinion that would not be possible either, the spring rate would not be high enough to have enough free space @ high compression (between wheel and fender) with the stock V3 springs ...
