Turning off brake wear indicator light?

Whats the correct process for turning off the brake pad wear sensor light in the dash?

Stupid question but did you replace the worn sensor after the pad replacement?

I did the Porsche Brembo caliper upgrade and cut the wear sensor line and spliced the wires together.
