Fried Amplifier, Need a Replacement
I just got this car about three weeks ago. It's a 2003 Z4. With the standard audio system I guess. The stereo never worked. After getting other service work done on the car I got it back this week. I finally got around to removing the amplifier from behind the battery. It looks like at some point there was about 1 1/2 inches of water in the compartment. That corroded the bottom part of the amp beyond repair. I called the BMW dealership and ask about a replacement amp. They gave me a price of $550. I tried Bavauto and they quoted me $475. Is there a cheaper and or better place to get one from?
It has we Lear corporation stamped on it and the part number is 65.12 6929689.

Bought this one 65129143127 @ ECS 6 weeks ago but I needed the top hi-fi amp. It was special order so non-returnable.
I will sell for $300 plus shipping Dave |

Water fried my Z4's amp and I am having a difficult time locating a replacement. The amp is for my 2004 Z4 and the part number is
65.126938189 It seems that this is a rare amp so if anyone has a good source for a used replacement or that amp please let me know |
