Because the front wheel bearing are being replaced, this will be installed at the same time.

Lol it's the cheapest kit I could find on eBay. It's for the ford Mustang, but will require a few tap welds and some basic modification. My whole front is changing, so this will be the best time to do it. Custom mount for the oil cooler, so this will nicely slot in.

Car stripped!!! Most bits and pieces sold!! Getting ready for the new build. Lots of stuff needs to be done before that though.

its not part of the bearing race section, so has no consequence. They are manufacturer marks. the other side has a matching one. Thanks for checking it out and pointing it out

So things have been developing a bit lately, most predominantly the box arrived. A bunch more parts in the box. Cage progress has been good. Car looks like a bombs exploded in it, but that's only due to work in progress.

Hope this pic explains it. It's /actual/ pressure. You can have this or install a transducer and put a gauge in the cockpit, but I figure there are enough gauges in there as it is, that I already forget to scan. The e85 option is there for when I return to Oz. Last edited by Vanne; 10-14-2019 at 03:26 AM.. |

Awesome! Now the fun part, painting the cage...
With that cage in place, you can remove that rear strut bar. It does nothing and is just weight along for the ride... Also, note that those control arms put a different load path on the FCAB mount. When BMW Motorsport used that design, they reinforced the mount area. People have reported ripping the FCAB out of the frame with the AKG arms of similar design. |

Thanks Micheal,
Ill re-enforce the Fcab mount before running the car. hopefully the bracket trhats welded to the frame is very sturdy. I just a few days ago, just quickly prepped and primed the cage, my painting skills are not good enough to do that justic and will be done at the same time as the WB kit. The shit parts about the whole thing is that my current season is well on the way and i am missing out.. Estimating that this is going to take at least another 2 months before its ready.. Just trying to find the time/cash to do the build justice is very difficult. Esp when you have little kids running around begging to be played with. All in good time.

So I am currently on holidays from the frikkin slavers.. awesome time to start work on the car.
Really loving working on this squirrel. Such a nice way to relax and get a bit grounded. Took a day to strip the car from panels. (Figure one side at a time is s good start.) Then started matching up panels.. Result after today, pretty good. This kit fits really well. Surprisingly well actually. And then the FedEx guy rocked up.. Gotta love working on the car...seriously loving it. So nice to relax, though i am pretty rooted after today. I am pretty sure the missus wished i dropped the car off and get this done by a shop, but i know they will just fuck the kit up, and i want it done right. so cant wait.. tomottow start stripping the other side...
