What are the most desirable pieces to be made in CF?
Hey Guys,
Its winter here and I just finished my new shop.... So, this means I have a lot of free time to play around with my composite fabrications skills. I have been constructing my new vacuum table this weekend and am ready to start playing around with parts and pieces from my MC and my 135i. If there is enough interest for some CF components on the board here, I will be happy to create molds and reproduce a few of the pieces in small quantities. I am a member of Eurowerkz and need to get my car prepped for the 2011 season this winter, so bring on all the CF goodness! Here are my capabilities and guidelines:
With all that in mind.. shoot me some ideas!

haha.. I love the enthusiasm all you guys are putting into this, however I do not have any donor pieces right now to fabricate the pieces you are all requesting. Lets talk about smaller stuff first, we can move into the larger stuff later.

How about:
Rad Cover (the piece right behind the hood latch) Airbox Lid (for the ones that don't want a CAI) Air Scoop (like the RPI, but carbon) Steering Wheel Spoke covers for the M (I found these for other steering wheels but not ours). The piece (cover) around the shifter Door handle pulls (to replace the silver) Seat Trim (to replace the plastic piece around the seat adjustments) Of course, these are just some ideas but if the quality is there, I believe there could be a market for these parts in carbon. I'd be the first in line. In fact, I would even order some of these parts and send them to you to do the job. This way your not taking your car apart to do it. I have a local guy that I work with here in Florida that repairs our crashed motorcycle carbon pieces and was thinking of getting with him to make some of these parts. He has made carbon pieces for us in the past, but I would rather hook up with an ///M enthusiast.

Please keep me in mind if you do any of these parts.
Also, how about carbon mirror covers.

Definitely be down for radiator cover, airbox cover, interior pieces especially the steering wheel trim.

For a lip something like this....
http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=442331 I think a lot of guys liked this one except it was WAY overpriced. for a splitter. - just a flat splitter that follows the contour properly - a detail to fill that center gap - made to pickup OE support points

I would like to see a nice spoiler for the roadster guys on here. Something along the same lines as the tekarbon rear spoiler they make for the coupe but id love to see on my roadster.
