Anybody have/seen fogs on a z4m?
Just wondering if anyone's done it/seen it/ or anyone makes a kit that looks halfway decent without looking out of place on the bumper and keeping the stock ducts functional. I'd like to have some if I could do it without making it look ridiculous.

We should get some LEDs...
I kid. Then again, if some are seriously tasteful and nice, it might be worth looking into doing one.

I'm done with my front mod: black grill, pre-Fl headlights with TekCarbon AE-Mod, amber delete, bmw OEM fog lights with 8000k Xenon, Z4M bumper
Maybe I'll put some black vinyl on the lower part in the middle of the front bumper... Today I'm doing the next mod: FL rear bumper + FL rear lights + CF rear aero diffusor |

Hamman did a great job. Very clean.
Now he has a 3.0 so wheels are not the same fitment as on a M, so that last question might not be relevant. Also it all depends on the use of the car. If you are going to drive it on a track, then I have to suggest not going with fogs as the car needs that extra air coming from those areas. As for the OPs question, he did mention that hw didn't want to obstruct the openings so I'm not too sure what he is looking for. |

I just remember looking at those wheels and thinking they were awesome, but the offsets were such that they wouldn't have fit on the M coupe. FWIW, in the nearly 3 years I owned the 3.0si, I used the fog lights maybe four or five times, and in none of those times did they actually seem to make much of a difference. |

Miro now make reps of those wheels so you can get perfect M fitments in 18s and 19s.
The car looks amazing mate. So clean and tastefully done. The rear diffuser will look sweet.

I had Fog lights on my older z4M and I did not install them in the ducts because I need that extra cooling on the brakes. the z4 m have another perfect space for fog lights on each side on the bottom grille I just drilled there and used the japanese fog lights that are made for z4m they look just like our head lights xenon bulbs, currently I don't have any fog lights on my new car but I will shortly have. I will see if I can post some old pictures if I find them.

HI,
yes it's only a 3.0i. I think on ebay germany there was a z4m roadster with the Performance 313 wheels, but I cannot remember anything about the fitting. I didn't use spacers. The 313 wheels I mounted are the ones of the E90/E91/E92/E93. I don't need the air intakes for my brakes. The 3.0i OEM bumper doens't have these intakes, too. So I decided to mount them. If I had a z4m, I would never close these intakes, because you (or your brakes) need them. amber delete: I thought amber is the orange in the turn signal and not the side markes in the bumber? I used some window foil to tint them. In europe, we don't have these ugly side markes (Sorry). I just mounted the FL rear bumper incl. the FL rear lights, but I wasn't able to mount the Carbon diffusor as well, because of some special circumstances (bumper wasn't at the garage this morning ). I'll mount it after my short trip to canada (NF) and the us (NYC) in 2 weeks. After that step, I'm gonna post some more pics including the new rear look If anyone comes from Nigara Falls (Canada) you can send me a PM and maybe we'll arrange a little meeting there Thanks for all your nice comments. everyone at the garage liked the modding, too. But I have to commit, that I had planned it for a really long time (oct. 2009 until feb. 2010). Patrick |
