Hi Everyone, I am trying to drum up interest for a base plate to be designed by Skyer to fit the Android Navigation screens. I recently installed a 10" android screen however the base-plate does not cover the factory OEM Cutout. I am hoping to get Skyer to create one use all existing factory mounting points. We do need 10 people to commit to purchase this base plate to get this going.

I bought my Navigation on Ali-express... I received it in like 5 days too, even when CV-19 was a bigger issue in Asia. I bought the 8 core version. For the most part its plug and play but not all included wiring is necessary for installation since the unit is meant for an X3.

I did not do a write up. It's pretty plug and play but I may be able to put something together.

Is this the same unit you installed on your vehicle? Can u include a link to where we can but the same unit?

Also, would the unit fold into the dash like the OEM one?

How much are we talking?

No this would not fold into the dash. I am not sure how much the baseplate would cost at the moment. Once I have 10 parties or more interested I will be reach out to Skyer once more.

I'd be in for just a smooth blank plate to completely delete the NAV.

Super new to these cars but are you saying it’s possible to delete the pop up nav screen all together and then Skyer could make a carbon cover up plate for where it was?

Please count me in for both NAV-plate and NAV-delete plate.

But for the NAV-plate it would be great if Skyer can put the screen in similar to how BMW did it - mounted somewhat deeper. The one on the picture here
sticks out a bit too much IMO. Especially considering low sitting position in our cars vs X3.

Although it looks a bit large you really get use to it very quickly. I too would prefer it to be slightly sunken in but if not I'd be happy regardless as long as I got a good baseplate.
