I like them.

Adds another dimension to our angular M cars, so I'm in. Still on the fence about weather or not I would want to pair them with an Areo bumper. Our M bumper is M specific so it would seem like bad juju to remove it

M specific would have been nice, but I do thing the Aero side skirts a something that compliments the M spirit of these cars. I used to like the flat ones, but the more I build the car the more thye look out of place.

Cheers, nice work

Tischer used to offer the option of painting them for $174 each.

Thanks for the guys!

Last I checked, Tisher (GetBMWparts) was selling them painted and shipped for a little over 900. I don't remember, but I think Pokey is right about the cost to paint them (site is down right now, so I can't check).

Chris, they grew on me over time too. Krissi has always liked them, but I warmed up a bit more slowly. (Had I found a set of IR I would have got them for her for Christmas--now I think I've found her birthday present.)

The just seem to fit, and it's not such a massive change that it looks out of place. Very much in keeping with the 1M or the E92 M3's approach--a bit of sweep which adds to the aggression. On your car, with the rest of the work you've done, . I agree, not sure about the Aero bumper for the M (I have no plans to swap mine out). But I do like it, and I think it adds something unique and special to the 2.5 or 3.0 (with or w/o the side skirts).

Psygnosis, you'll have to post up a pic of that painted too!

also want to know about the install. Also if you're ever near the south bay I'd love to get a look at them in person. In this thread I went from being not that interested to definitely interested. As you say it's subtle but it completes the look makes it a little more aggressive and widens the car a bit by the wheel arches.

afaik, these need a very gentle trimming on the front edge to fit according to some, however some report these fit with no mods at all...

I loved these so much I bought a set from Tischer last summer, but have yet to paint and install.

For those of you that already have them on your cars I have a query......did the paint texture become an obvious difference or did you notice >?

Our cars seem to have come with a heavier than normal "Orange peel" than what I'm used too. If the painter did a nice job keeping things slick and fllat when spraying....I'd imagine the skirt would look smoother/flatter than OEM/stock finish.

Yes, I think I'm going to need to do that to get a perfect fit on the front edge on the left side once it warms up a bit.

I don't have that much orange peel on my Z. A bit, but nothing like my E92 which was orange peel o' rama. Bought mine painted (used) and the BMW shop the original owner had do it wasn't perfectly smooth about their painting, so it comes out close enough to stock that you'd not know the difference unless you're 12" away from it.

Deal. We should also consider a Norcal meet up some place central at some point this spring! It would be great to meet folks, and get a bunch of Z4s together in one place.

Yeah, they look kind of sad compared to the shot from the end of last summer when I'd just detailed the car. I'll get on it sir!

Yup, will do. I think we can swing that here not too far out. But she's going to have to pick between this and a set of new wheels. She likes the Apex wheels, and there's a GB starting. She's been itching for a set of the Apex in hyperblack for some time too. So many mods to choose from!
