WTB Z4M Roadster

I’m looking for a low mileage, well optioned, Z4M roadster in as close to pristine condition as possible. I prefer a car without navigation.

Make sure you setup alert at CarGurus. If took me 6 months to find a roadster of my dream and perfect color this April. Also BaT site is a must.

Doing all those things already. Thanks. I found the perfect car in Minnesota, but the seller refused to sell me the car, even though I offered him his full asking price. It was the strangest attempted car buying experience of my life. I spoke with the owner and tried to negotiate the seller down from his $25,000 asking price. Unfortunately my attempts to get a better price were unsuccessful. So I agreed to pay his price and bank wire the money. Then the seller backpedaled, and asked me why I would pay so much for a car so far away from where I live? It was bizarre. He thought that it was a scam of some kind, and decided that he would not want to give me his banking information. Then the person that I had look at the car for me, who is a close friend, called the owner and offered to either meet the seller at his bank and transfer the money in person, or pay him in green cash. Both offers were again rejected.
I sent the owner a text with a link to my company information, where I’m listed as a VP. I have worked there for 23 years! I told him that no one is trying to rip him off, and we’re offering to pay full asking price. His reply was a rant about capitalism and Texans feeling superior to the rest of us..... so as you can probably figure out I won’t be buying the car. It was the most bizarre experience I have ever had while in a car transaction.

So the search continues.

What kind of crazy bullshit was that? I am from Minnesota and I am embarrassed by this fools behavior. There is that passive/aggressive thing there so...

That's a CRAZY story! I understand some initial skepticism about a long distance deal, but obviously you were legit and that should have become apparent almost immediately.

I bought my current coupe from across the country last year, with zero problems. After we settled on a price, I hopped a plane from Tucson to Philly to have a look-see/drive, with cashier's check in hand to close the deal. Smooth as buttah. Better luck next time!

These are great cars, maybe it was nothing to do with you, maybe he just couldn't part with it even though it was listed for sale.

The car looks awesome! And it is almost impossible to find a lower mileage. Price is right too. I would not give up for your dream, Doug!
